If you are vegan, really think twice before you come here.

It's a shame that I'm writing such a bad review, as I was really looking forward to my meal based on the rating, but my experience was terrible. Tip: tell the staff you are vegan - maybe it will help. I didn't, and instead just asked for the veggie pizza without cheese (the only other option was marinara).

The pizza was tasteless. I had to add loads of olive oil, salt, and pepper, and then I could taste something...the pepper.

Honestly, I probably would not be writing this review except for what happened at the end. I mean, a bad pizza isn't the end of the world. However, to add to that, the staff weren't very friendly, neither when we made the reservation nor when we arrived, sat down or ordered (except for the lady, she seemed really lovely and had a big big smile). But at the end, as we were leaving, the manager (?) asked me what was wrong with my food and when I told him it was tasteless, he got really defensive. He told me maybe I wasn't used to having the vegetables cooked in a pizza oven, that they never have so many complaints...I don't know if it's expecting too much, but a simple 'I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it' would have been fine for me. Instead he told me he was asking me so they could improve in the future, but he made it clear that he thought the problem was me and not the pizza.

I mean, I was angry enough after all this but my friends were also horrified at the way he spoke to me - as they told me when we left.

I will say that my friend found the gluten free pizza - as many others seem to do - the best she'd ever had (they can make any of their pizzas gluten free). So keep that in mind too if you're not vegan and looking for good...

Truthfully a horrible and disappointing experience. First we were treated arrogantly and unprofessionally, to the point that it was actually insulting, by the woman that controls the reservations. We decided to stay expecting that she would not be the one taking our order. Unluckly this didnt happen and her attitude and lack of interest for her job just continued to get worse during the whole dinner. Having worked in hospitality for many years we were shocked to see her continue to do the same to many other clients that arrived, which many actually ended up leaving. While paying I asked to speak to a manager or owner to simply give our opinion on what happened and maybe get an explanation on why they had someone with that personality as front of house. This is when it got wven worse. While speaking to the waitress we found out she was the sister of the owners and then one of the brothers appeared beside me. He was never aggressive until I left which he decided that was the best time to start shouting and insulting out loud. Up until that point he was just condescending and had no interest in listening to what I had to say. He also kept trying to say that I had called his sister a "persona di merda" and try and turn the conversation into a fight. He constantly made up excuse like: it's the end of the season, covid was so hard for us, my sister works for free, you don't understand anything, etc These I agree are valid for conversation with friends and family but not costumers.

No matter how good the food could be... I believe this family need to dedicate more time to being more understanding human beings and less time hanging up...

I read some mixed reviews here before making a reservation, but decided that if it's award winning pizza it should be worth it-boy was I wrong. Well actually- I can't comment on the pizza because we left before it was even served. We arrived on time at 8pm and were seated. No one came to take a drink order for 20 min (and the place was only half full on a Wednesday night). Another 15 min later we got water and a glass of wine each. We ordered the Caprese to start and selected our 2 pizzas-just as 2 groups arrived. I commented to my husband that I was glad our order got in before they all sat down. The Caprese was a plate of plain sliced cheese and tomatoes, there was no oil, no salt, absolutley no flavour at all-very disappointing. We had been travelling for 3 weeks all over Italy by this point and it was shocking to see such a terrible plate. Then we waited and waited and waited for our pizzas. The other tables of 2 people around us all sat after us, had their drinks and pizzas consumed and we still waited. We asked twice and were told it was coming. Then finally our server blamed it on the fact that we had ordered a salad to start and that put us at the back of the pizza queue, but he promised it was coming. Two hours after we sat down for PIZZA, we got up and walked out. They are lucky I had a 20 in my wallet that I threw on the table to cover the terrible caprese and 2 glasses of wine we did consume-they really didn't deserve anything for the rude serve and terrible salad. Go anywhere...

We came here twice and both times it was really busy so I recommend making a reservation. They have a system where you can line up outside but the hosts come out and speak Italian and then the Italians respond back and take your spot in line :) There’s seating outside and inside. The service is slow and a little disorganized. We were seated for so long without a menu that we ended up going and grabbing our own from the plate / utensil drawer ourselves. We ordered the tuna salad and the marinara pizza and added anchovies. The salad was delicious. We came back another night just to get it again. The pizza was good but we didn’t try their award winning ones. The dough is unmatched for sure but I felt the tomato sauce lacked flavour and I had to add additional olive oil to give it more life. Definitely worth trying and I would imagine their award winning pizzas are much tastier.

We were so lucky to get a table at this busy pizzeria without a reservation. We saw many people get turned away from the door, so I recommend making a reservation. Many of the seats were 'hard', while some seats had cushions at this award winning eatery. The restaurant is very clean, bright and open, and their air conditioning was very efficient on the hot day we visited. We ordered cold beers to start, and a beautiful pizza and a Farinata (a corn meal like pizza that is a favorite in Italy), which arrived with a cream sauce and the most incredible pesto sauce I've ever had...that is now 'the measure' of all future pesto sauces I'll eat. This was a truly memorable pizza experience in Italy that is embedded in our memory.

Travelled to Levanto espacially for this place. For the Pizza World Champion. Been there two times, we tried 4 different Pizzas. Only one I would recommend without a "but". I tried the Champion Pizza and as long as you have all component in one bite it tastes perfect. But the best Pizza i had was the Anciua. Be there when the restaurant opens, then there are around 25 Seats available. Otherwise come back after 45 min and put your name on the waiting list. For the other 30 Seats you will need a reservation (1-2 days ahead). All in All very good Pizza, worth a try! Service is not undfriendly but stressed. We got our pizza the time we had a reservation nearly 45 minutes after entering the restaurant.
